INSTRUMENT RATED PILOT

The intimidation of flying into or around poor weather will be alleviated when you build this skill/confidence to operate aircraft under Instrument Meteorological conditions (IMC).  Flight operations in the Northwest experience all the ingredients to a competent Instrument Rated Pilot to include sharing the local Class C airspace that is Boise International (Gowen Field).

Instrument flight training involves learning to control an aircraft solely by reference to the onboard flight and navigation instruments.  Students will develop a systematic approach to flying in IMC while following “instrument flight rules” (IFR).  This training is intended to be an advanced skill to enhance  your current private pilot rating with greater insight into the air traffic control system and ability to actually get to your destination with greater confidence and without being limited by weather conditions.
